Art Out Side: Improv Theatre
Improv Theatre (IT) is a powerhouse of unscripted performance based in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. With over 50 years of combined experience, our team of seasoned improvisers and educators brings bold, fast-paced comedy to life -on stage, in classrooms, and at custom events across the region. At IT, we don’t just make things up, we make things happen. Improv is spontaneous storytelling through the magic of saying “yes.” Whether we’re performing for a packed house or leading a workshop, we’re all about building community through laughter and shared experience.
About the Artist:
Put simply, improv is a theatrical art form where performers do not use a script. Many describe improv as “making things up on the spot”; however, it’s not quite that simple! Improv is about supporting your fellow performers, connecting with the audience, and of course, it’s about saying “yes”.
At IT, we don’t just make things up, we make things happen. Improv is spontaneous storytelling through the magic of saying “yes.” Whether we’re performing for a packed house or leading a workshop, we’re all about building community through laughter and shared experience.
