ArtsConnect’s ArtsCalendar is a work in progress. Presently, we are working with a small group of arts organizations from across the Tri-Cities to develop the ArtsCalendar before we open up submissions from all arts organizations and we are not accepting direct submissions at this time. After Hours Poetry Night
Join us for a special after hours poetry party at the Coquitlam Public Library.
Get your poetry and party shoes on! This event will feature a mocktail bar and appetizers for mix and mingle social time.
To start the night, we will have a special guest welcome and get everyone warmed up with a poetry performance.
Following the performance, we will start the open mic. We encourage all poets, professional or amateur to share a poem. Feeling brave but do not have a poem to share? We will also have a few classics selected from the library collection ready to try.
We will be on a first-come, first-serve basis sign up for open mic, with a 5-minute time limit.
Event Schedule:
5:30-6:30 – Mocktail hour and appetizers
6:30 – Welcome & Poetry Performance
6:45-8:00 – Open Mic
8:00 – Closing
Registration required.
This will be an after regular library hours event, limited entry by staff member only. No regular library services available.
Entry and exit from library will be limited to the main doors off Northern Way.
Ages 12+, no children.
