Port Coquitlam Student Art Exhibition: Opening Reception
You’re invited to the opening reception of the Port Coquitlam Student Art Exhibition on Friday, May 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Leigh Square. This vibrant art exhibition celebrates drawings, painting, collages, pottery, and sculptures made by students from Terry Fox Secondary, École Riverside Secondary, École des Pionniers, and Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary School. Enjoy the artwork displayed across four galleries in The Outlet, Michael Wright Art Gallery – Gathering Place, City Hall and the Port Coquitlam Community Centre.
The event features light refreshments and live music performed by Leo Teixeira, a Brazilian-Canadian countertenor and jazz pianist; Paloma DeLisle, a dynamic drummer performing with Vancouver ensembles and teaching at the VSO School of Music; and Xander DeLisle, a double bassist with UBC and VSO ensembles who blends jazz and classical performance with his studies at UBC.
