The City of Port Coquitlam and PoCo Arts Council invite you to our May Cultural Roundtable on the theme of building resilient partnerships in arts, culture and heritage. Meet Port Coquitlam’s new Artist in Residence in Leigh Square, Sarah Kennedy. Sarah’s dance practice centres on movement, collaboration, and creating inclusive spaces for creative expression. During her presentation, Sarah will discuss her project Dance is for a Small Space—a free, community-engaged dance program that invites participants of all ages and experience levels to explore movement, creativity, and collaboration. Sarah’s residency is supported by the PoCo Community Foundation and City of Port Coquitlam.
The second part of the evening will be a hands-on workshop designed for anyone interested in building strong and strategic partnerships in arts, culture and heritage. The workshop will be led by Robi Smith, the City’s Arts & Culture Coordinator, who will be sharing learnings from a recent leadership program at the Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity.
