ArtsConnect’s ArtsCalendar is a work in progress. Presently, we are working with a small group of arts organizations from across the Tri-Cities to develop the ArtsCalendar before we open up submissions from all arts organizations and we are not accepting direct submissions at this time. If your organization is interested in joining the ArtsCalendar in the future, please email your name, address, and a brief description of your organization to: [email protected]
This resource has been made possible through the financial support of ArtsConnect’s members. If you would like to support the further development, please consider becoming a member here: Membership
Do You Hear Me Now? Guest Curated by Karter Masuhara

Do You Understand Me Now? is a solo theatrical performance exploring the intersections of language, gender, and generational distance. Using recordings and projections alongside live performance, the piece is presented in three languages: French, Japanese, and English.
In the work, Karter attempts to hold conversations with their two grandmothers — one Japanese and one French-Canadian — by speaking in their mother tongues despite not being fluent in either. Through these imagined dialogues, the performer tries to explain their identity as a trans/non-binary person.
Please be advised that ticket purchases are subject to a payment processing fee and service fee charged by Eventbrite.
We acknowledge that very young children can be disruptive to other patrons. We do not recommend bringing children under six years. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
