Music Porch: Piano Painting Installation

Join artists Georgie Dan and Zlata as they transform a community piano and oversized Adirondack chairs into vibrant, one-of-a-kind public artworks. Watch the creative process unfold live throughout the festival and see how bold colours, storytelling, and imagination turn everyday objects into joyful pieces of public art. Stop by, say hello, and witness the artwork come to life!

The Proxemic Axon

TIME: 11:45 AM – 12:15 PM

LOCATION: Pioneer Memorial Park (275 Knowle St, Port Moody)

ARTIST: Cosmic Lottery (Anne Howard, Ben Howard)

The Proxemic Axon is an investigative organic bio-tool used by two visiting researchers. These busy boffins from outer space are on a reconnaissance mission to test connective possibilities and collect data using a nine-meter piece of strong diaphanous fabric. Through non-verbal communication and cooperative play, these curious and silly scouts share their research in a wandering performance that all ages can enjoy. A few miniature models of the Proxemic Axon (each measuring one meter in length) will be available for young earthlings who want to improvise with the scientists.

Balance Restored

TIME: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

LOCATION: PoMoArts (2425 St Johns St, Port Moody)

ARTIST: Nickie Lewis

This playfully interactive installation encourages participants to “find balance” through tactile kenetic sculptures and  sound activations. Balance Restored aims to encourage those who interact with it to find a middle ground between hope and despair.

The Threads Between Us – A Public Weaving Project

TIME: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

LOCATION: Pioneer Memorial Park (275 Knowle St, Port Moody)

ARTIST: Elizabeth Raposo

This project is an experiential space that encourages festival goers of all ages to participate in the collective creation of a tangible representation of our effect on the community around us. An A-frame tent will be warped with thread and fabric yarn will be provided for participating in the creation of the tapestry covering the tent frame. This installation affords a structure to experience as well as to make and encourages festival goers of all ages, abilities, and interests to participate in the exhibit. The Threads Between Us is a reminder of the deeply entwined connection we all share and our effect on our collective creations, whether we simply exist, observe, and/or create in the space. Participation, experimentation, and questions are encouraged!

Ancestral Sound Currents

TIME: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

LOCATION: Noon’s Creek Hatchery (340 Ioco Rd, Port Moody)

ARTIST: Corus

Ancestral Sound Currents is an immersive outdoor sound experience blending Native American flute, crystal singing bowls, and ambient soundscapes tuned to 432Hz. Rooted in Indigenous perspectives of listening, land, and interconnectedness, the activation transforms public space into a place of reflection, presence, and connection. Audiences are invited to pause, breathe, and experience the surrounding environment through sound in a calm, accessible, and restorative way.

The Wandering Harpist

TIME: 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Follow the sound of live Celtic harp through the trees and stumble upon a little moment of enchantment. Inspired by the beauty of nature, these peaceful, ethereal melodies invite visitors of all ages to pause, wonder, and reconnect with the present moment. Whether you linger beneath the canopy or continue along the trail, the music becomes part of the landscape, making the forest itself feel just a little more magical.

There’s something magical about hearing live harp music drifting through the trees—it invites people to pause, reconnect with their inner worlds, notice the beauty around them, and experience nature a little differently.
