DESCRIPTION:Opening Party Events: \nGentle Glory: Gentle Glory is a solo dance work by Rachel Helten that explores themes of gentleness\, empathy\, and interconnectedness with nature. \n‍ \nSpoken Word: C’est grâce à mes références culturelles et cinématographiques ainsi qu’ à ma mère et ses soirées de projection de diaporamas que mes yeux se sont remplis de couleur et d’admiration pour l’énergie et l’audace de tels projets. \n‍ \nPhantom Jungle: Phantom of the Jungle is a duo band formed in Vancouver\, Canada\, consisting of Alfredo Mangherini (guitar\, synth\, vocal) and Nicholas Lagasse (bass\, loop-beat\, flute\, vocal). Their collaboration began in 2023 when Alfredo was busking on the streets of Vancouver\, playing cumbia rhythms. Nick\, biking by\, was immediately drawn to the lively cumbia notes and jingles.

SUMMARY:Art Out Side: Flamenco Around The Map
DESCRIPTION:Mozaico Flamenco puts on colourful\, vibrant\, energetic flamenco shows with rare versatility and polish. We will take the audience on a journey to the sunny South of Spain\, where Flamenco originated. Our repertoireis extensive and has a range from traditional regional Spanish folk dances to traditional Flamenco Puro gypsy style\, to contemporary forms. Our shows feature solo dancers\, group numbers and musical songs all accompanied by live Flamenco guitar and singer. \nBased out of Vancouver\, Mozaico Flamenco is an intergenerational\, multicultural and LGBTQ2IA artistic performance group that presents high quality flamenco shows specializing in Flamenco Dance from Andalucia\, Spain. Mozaico Flamenco’s reputation in Vancouver for colourful\, vibrant\, energetic flamenco shows with rare versatility and polish is renowned. During pandemic times\, Mozaico Flamenco was dancing around the city doing outdoor popup series\, Smallstages.ca “Love Bubble”\, the Lumiere Festival\, Pacfic National Exhibition (PNE)\, Taiwanese\, Latincouver\, Carnaval and Explorasian Cultural Festivals to name a few. \n\n\n\n\nWe celebrate 52 years dancing live Spanish and Flamenco shows to enthusiastic audiences in Canada\, bringing thousands to the art form.  We are happy to present one of our recent shows “Flamenco Around The Map” which takes the audience on a journey through the South of Spain.  We are often booked for multicultural\, music\, dance festivals\, school educational programs\, senior centres\, corporate events\, tradeshows\, weddings and more.

The festival\, now in its 36th year\, will take place on Saturday\, July 26 from 10AM to 10PM and Sunday\, July 27 at 11AM to 8PM\, and promises an unforgettable celebration of Caribbean culture\, music\, food\, and community.\nEstablished in 1988\, by the Trinidad and Tobago Cultural Society of BC\, Caribbean Days Festival is one of British Columbia’s largest and longest-running cultural celebrations. The event is free to attend\, family-friendly\, wheelchair accessible\, and fully inclusive. It showcases the sights\, sounds\, and tastes of the Caribbean in a way that welcomes all. \nThe festival begins with a Caribbean Days Parade on Saturday\, July 26 at 11AM. People of all ages are invited to join and dress in vibrant costumes to show their country’s pride through Town Centre Park. \nAttendees can enjoy authentic Caribbean cuisine\, alongside a variety of international dishes offered at a selection of food trucks. The craft market will be open both days featuring handmade art\, jewelry\, clothing\, and other artisanal goods. Guests 19 and older can also enjoy drinks at the beer garden. \nCaribbean Days Festival will have live performances on the main stage all weekend long\, featuring Soca\, Reggae\, Calypso\, Latin\, African\, and other global musical styles. \nFree admission to enter the festival! Bring cash or card to purchase food\, drinks or goods from the craft market. There’s free on-site parking at the festival however we encourage attendees to take public transit due to limited parking.
