DESCRIPTION:Are you a queer identifying artist who lives in Port Coquitlam? \nThe Tri-Cities Pride Society (TCPS) applied for grant funding from the PoCo Community Foundation’s Project Grants to create an arts-based project to lift up voices from the 2S/LGBTQIA+ community. The project is in two parts: first\, a collaborative community art project\, and second\, an exhibition of local queer artists. The Tri-Cities Pride Society is doing a call out to local queer artists for the exhibition. DESCRIPTION:Multitudes is a group exhibition featuring work from Sonny Assu\, Chun Hua Catherine Dong\, Deborah Edmeades\, Odera Igbokwe\, Cheyenne Rain LeGrande ᑭᒥᐊᐧᐣ and Tatjana Mirkov-Popovicki. Drawing from the fantastical\, these artists explore layers of identity as they traverse the present\, untangle oppressive histories and imagine the future (and the self) as sites of renewal. Working across sculpture\, painting\, textiles\, new media and video\, the artists draw inspiration from fantasy\, the influence of technology and stories of the cosmos that shape our experiences of the present. \nJoin us on Saturday\, May 31st for an exhibition tour with guest curator Anna Luth and the opening reception of Multitudes.
