SUMMARY:Steps Forward with Christine Mackenzie
DESCRIPTION:Join First Nations artist and facilitator Christine Mackenzie for an interactive workshop and art exhibit about Indigenous culture\, artwork\, and protocols. Register in advance or drop-in. Ages 12+. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nSeveral of Christine’s standalone artworks will be on display\, as well as a collaborative series with photographer @babysnakeslu. She will share knowledge about Indigenous art history\, culture\, protocols\, and current standings. During the workshop\, you can choose one of five different animal designs\, created by Christine\, to finish and colour while learning about the step-by-step process behind her work. \nDoors open at 6:00 pm to browse the art exhibit\, and the workshop starts at 6:30 pm. \nLight refreshments will be served. \nRegistration is encouraged\, but drop-in attendance is welcome. \n\nFollow Christine Mackenzie on Instagram: @sneakynativeart
