Film Screening of Laxesa Wa: Strength of the River
Join the City of Port Coquitlam and the Coquitlam River Watershed Society for a special film screening in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Through the National Film Board of Canada documentary Laxwesa Wa: Strength of the River, participants are invited to reflect on Indigenous knowledge, cultural resilience, and the deep connections between the Stó:lō people, the Fraser River, and the land.
The screening offers an opportunity to listen, learn, and reflect on Indigenous perspectives and the ongoing importance of reconciliation. Film provided courtesy of the National Film Board of Canada.
