Rudiments of starting a Portrait, freehand or gridding. Blocking out composition, shading, value scale, blending skin tones, rules of facial proportion will all be covered. We will work from photograph. Photos below are examples of really quickly rendered portraits I did in class (we are doing something else in this workshop) and some of them Are renditions of my students.
