A Call for Submissions

Are you an artists or illustrator looking to see your work in the community? Coquitlam Public Library is looking for a vibrant, full-colour artwork for our upcoming library card decals! These decals are vinyl stickers that customers can use to personalize both existing and new library cards. We want designs that celebrate reading, community, learning, creativity, or local culture.

The Details

  • Prize: Selected winning artists will receive an award/honorarium of $100 per design.
  • Format: Full colour.
  • Dimensions: Standard card size—3.375″ x 2.125″ (85.6 mm x 53.98 mm).
    • Note: Designs should include a small additional 0.125″ bleed around all edtes and keep key details away from the rounded corners.

Submission Guidelines

  • Who can apply: Open to artists residing in Coquitlam; all levels and ages are welcome!
  • File formats: High-resolution PDF, PNG, or JPEG (300DPI minimum recommended for printing).
  • Originality: Submissions must be your own original work, and must not involve any use of generative AI.
  • Multiple entries are welcome; however, only one work per artist will be selected. 

How to Submit

Send your design file(s) along with your full name, contact information, and a short 1–2 sentence description of your piece to Samantha Wink, Marketing & Communications Manager at [email protected] by 11:59 pm, September 18, 2026. Winners will be chosen in-house and notified via email by October 1, 2026.
