Introduction to Plein Air Drawing Workshop
Discover the fundamentals of plein air drawing in this introductory outdoor workshop. Participants will learn basic observational drawing and sketching techniques using a watercolour marker and water collected from Noons Creek while exploring and capturing the surrounding landscape. No experience is necessary, and all supplies will be provided. Classes are led by Olesia Kharlamova, an art instructor based in Port Moody.
Olesia is a Ukrainian-born watercolour artist and art instructor based in Port Moody, BC. Her work explores landscape, light, and emotional interiority — drawing on nature’s resilience as a quiet counterpoint to the upheaval of displacement and war.
Christy is a Port Moody artist, writer and fine arts instructor and strives to bring joy to people through art exploration, storytelling and humour.
